The Year One children were transported to outer space this week and were amazed and enthralled as they watched sunbursts, the planets and were told stories about the stars, and were encouraged to write their own stories.

The children have already done some fantastic work, following on from the sessions, writing what they enjoyed about it

I loved it because (it was) dark and it was fun!

I liked it because the sun was cool. It was the best day in my life!

I loved it because I learnt something that I didn’t know before!

We crawled into the dome and they told us about a girl on the moon called Luna……

That was the best day ever!
