Reception’s Big Adventure: Learning About Our Local Community!

The Reception children have been on a mission to explore our local community!

We put on our explorer hats and went for a walk around the local high road to learn about road safety, the amazing shops nearby, and how all the friendly people in our area help us every day. We had a go at crossing safely at traffic lights and at a zebra crossing.

But wait, there’s more! The police came to visit us (a parent) and it was super fun. We got to have a look closely at a police officer's uniform and learnt all about their gadgets, and the best part was that nearly everyone had a chance to sit in the police van and press the siren buttons! Talk about feeling like little detectives!

It’s been an exciting journey of learning and laughter.
