Year 2 Art and Design - Rotational Printing
At the beginning of this term we spent a lot of time making observational drawings of different flowering plants.
It was tricky to draw the shapes, colours and details we could see but we persevered. We made great progress with our drawing skills.
Next we created decorative designs of flowering plants and etched them onto printing foam. Our printing foam was shaped into a quarter of a circle.
We coloured our designs using felt tips then sprayed our printing block with water and pressed down onto watercolour paper.
We repeated the process four times, rotating the printing block until we had printed a whole circle.
It took a long time and lots of care. We are very happy with our finished artwork.
