During this Summer term we have been exploring sculpture.

We have been learning about the abstract sculptures of Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore.

We enjoyed seeing their sculptures at Kenwood House

After our visit to Kenwood we started working with clay, making and joining shapes to create abstract forms.

Next we made people out of clay and painted them.

We learnt how to roll spheres and coils. We learnt how to join pieces of clay by scoring it and using slip.

We are very proud of our sculptures, and we can't wait to take them home!
