Harvest Festival 2022
We celebrated our annual Harvest Festival, with some fabulous singing and a wonderful collection of food and toiletries, for The Finchley Food Bank.
We held our Harvest Festival assembly for Key Stage One, and it was a real pleasure to welcome our Year Two parents to celebrate with us. We had a full hall!
We did take some videos of the singing, to share with parents who couldn’t be with us, and parents can view these on the secure area of our website..
The Finchley Food Bank collected the donations and were extremely grateful for the generous amount given to them, thank you to everyone who sent in donations it will really help so many people who are struggling right now. The Food Bank have sent us the following message:
To all the staff, parents and children at Garden Suburb Infant School,
Many thanks for your Harvest Festival donation, which I collected today.
I could see in the donation, that some had donated foods they enjoy and others donated food that is used regularly - both are very much appreciated.
We are grateful for your support, as we are currently supporting record numbers of families and individuals - up to 156 families and almost 500 individuals.
We would also like to remind children and adults alike, that when people need help, it's important to ask for help and not suffer on your own. There is nothing wrong with asking for help.
All the best,
Anna Maughan, Foodbank co-ordinator, Finchley Foodbank.
