Internet Safety

On Tuesday 11th February 2025, we celebrated Safer Internet Day!

This is a day dedicated to raise awareness of a safer and better internet for all.

Even at this young age, it is important to have a shared understanding and dialogue about how to keep safe online.

The theme this year is; Too good to be true? with a focus on protecting each other from scams online. The children are learning that scams may appear online and can trick you into getting something from you like personal information.  

In school we talked to the children about:

  • What to do, if they come across something that concerns them online (talk to  a trusted adult)
  • Keeping their personal information private (full name, school, address, passwords, telephone numbers)
  • Being polite online and considerate of others
  • Understanding not everything they see online is true or reliable
